VGL suggests promoting advance stop lines for cycling safety, including reinstatement at Northwood. TT has contacted Rachel Mills .
VGL said better driving needs to be promoted. TT suggested a conference on road safety, inviting driving instructors etc.
TT said several people are trained as cycle instructors but are not able to carry out training. This is for reasons to do with local council employment rules applicable to the Fire and Rescue Service.
TT noted the document Cycle Accidents IOW.doc (circulated) which breaks down accidents & fatalities from 2007 to 2012. 2011 was a bad year but 2012 improved.
Route 23
The 10 th anniversary of the Newport to Sandown Cycle route is next year 2013 during National Bike Week, 23 June. We could organise a convergence ride to Church Litten, give out flags at the rail stations. Could temporary traffic lights be provided at  Blackwater ? Could we do a bike sculpture.
Notices have gone up on Cowes-Newport section indicating a speed limit of 10mph. Blue is advisory.
Cat eyes at track edge have been obscured of late due to fallen leafs. Tigg is contacting the Council.
