Isle of Wight cyclist dies after hit and run collision in Newport

A cyclist who was seriously hurt in a hit and run collision in Newport on the Isle of Wight has died, police have said.
Emergency services, including Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary, rushed to Furrlongs at around 4.37pm on Monday.
A cyclist was found injured, near Pan Stores.
The incident involved an electrically-assisted red pushbike and a black Ford Transit van on Furrlongs, Newport.
The van driver did not stop at the scene, police said.
